About Marquisse
I am a Games Design and Programming graduate of the University of Staffordshire (BSc, graduated 2026). I have worked on a multitude of different projects - both individual and collaborative - working in C++, C#, Unreal Engine Blueprints and Unity.
The particular skills I developed in Unreal Engine and Unity have been in creating readable and modular code: game mechanics and systems such as inventories, UIs, resource management, AI systems and multiplayer netcode.
I possess strong soft skills developed through collaborative projects using Microsoft Teams and GitHub - working to schedules and deadlines, communicating with team members, and managing commits while informing team leads and scrum masters at each push, pull and merge.
Skills in Depth
- C++ - systems for multiple games, most significantly a low-level recreation of Galaga 1981 in SFML 3.0.
- C# & Unity - movement systems, multiplayer netcode, and an RTS AI that plays believably like a human (dissertation).
- Unreal Engine - mechanic and UI design, collaborative modular systems used in team settings.
- Blender - modelling, UV editing, rigging and texturing since version 2.7.
- Krita - textures for 3D models and 2D graphics for Unity modules.
